Fulltime Mama
My name is Elizabeth, and I am the happy wife of ten years to Fabio and fulltime mama to four beautiful children: Joshua-9, Dominique 7, Israel- almost 5, Johann-3 and expecting a new baby in April 2012! We are currently living in Brazil as missionaries and life never ceases to be an adventure!!! I love motherhood with a passion and am passionate about providing a place here at MamaKnowsBest where mothers can learn, grow, and share ... pooling the wisdom of many into one big jackpot for mothers.
I used to get frustrated with my children when I let them help me mop the kitchen floors, because they couldn't seem to stay out of the bucket, always wanting to keep dunking their rags in and then spreading WAY too much soapy water all over the place!
Then one day a couple of years back, I decided to just lose the bucket altogether! I literally just took the soapy water and poured it ALL over the kitchen floor. It was great! The kids were just thrilled to take their rags and slop the soapy suds all over the place, and in the process my floors got a great scrub!

Then, when we had slopped around enough for one day -laughing and sliding and having blast, I got some old towels out and we started scooting around with the towels on our feet to dry up our sudsy mess. This was almost just as much fun!

I'm not always up for this much "adventure" when it comes to cleaning my floors, but it is a great way to have a fun time with your children while still accomplishing some house cleaning too. :) (May be a nice activity for cabin fever days...)

On the days I don't want to do this whole process, they also enjoy using a spray bottle of water and rag to "spot clean" for me. This is also very helpful for me, and something that they find quite fun!
