A Super Easy Method to Make White Sauce
I learned this little trick from our Peruvian friends. :)
First, fill your blender up with crackers. I have used plain saltines, or Ritz type crackers with good results.
Next, pour milk over your crackers. We prefer whole milk. Fresh is best!
Blend. That's it! Now, you may pour it into a sauce pan to heat and it will thicken more as you heat it. You can add more seasonings, pepper, sauteed onions, or whatever you like! Add more milk if you prefer it to be a thinner consistency. You can use over pasta, as your base for gravy-over-biscuits, or whatever else you can think up! Your imagination is the limit! YUM!
