Denise Marotta Lopes
Denise Marotta Lopes is a daughter of the King, a woman who is loved by her heavenly Father. It is her joy to be a wife, and mother of two grown children, and to serve those whom God brings into her life. It is her heart's desire to see people so consumed by the love of God that they pour out onto others, and are set free to walk out their destinies.
She has written a book titled "Who's Sitting on Your Nest? The Virtues of Stay-at-Home Motherhood". It focuses on the joys of stay-at-home motherhood, and the benefits of a life invested in this ministry.
The book was written to affirm those who have chosen to mother full-time and to encourage those who may be considering the call to do so. It takes the reader through the decison-making process, the value of motherhood, and the practical aspects of carrying out the mission.
Denise is an avid lover of Jesus, dedicated intercessor, author, teacher, and speaker.

Have you spent hours today responding to your children's questions? I remember when my son was younger and he was continually curious-always talking and questioning. There were times when I had to tell him, "Joey, mommy's brain is tired!" When you listen to your 3-year old as he shares what's important to him, he is learning that mom is someone he can trust. Take you child seriously. What you sow now, you will later reap. That 3-year old will continue to share as he gets older, and as his concerns change, because you have already proven yourself trustworthy.
Perhaps you wonder if it really matters. After all, will they remember what happens when they are so young? It is surprising what children remember. As the mother of two grown children, I am amazed by what they recall. I understand that when you are in the middle of the day-to-day swirl of activities, questions, and general busyness of life, you find yourself just doing the next thing. You may not see the significance of these seemingly little things. But these relatively small things matter. What you listen to today affects your kids both now and later. Keep listening and being available, and as they grow, they will continue to share. And the magnitude of what they share grows as well.
