If you are looking for a frugal option for a printer, you might be tempted to buy a Lexmark. Don't do it! Here's why:

They seem like a great deal, since they are often quite a lot cheaper than other brands, but they are tricky. Once your first ink cartridges that came with the printer run out, you will find out that their cartridges are quite a bit more expensive than other brands ink cartridges.  And not only are they more expensive, but they don't last worth a hoot!! I wish I could tell you exactly how many pages we have gotten out of them, but I cant. I only know that we don't use the printer a ton, and the cartridges empty out extremely fast! We have had other brands in the past, and the ink would last way longer.

Just a tip for whenever you happen to find yourself in the market for a new printer. :)
