Lynn *Momma to 5* MawMaw extraordinaire© to 13....so far (another's due in September) & foster mom of 21 so far

I came across this pic of my grandbaby, Shae helping me put away the silverware when she was about 8 mos. old.

When I would start unloading the dishwaher, she would crawl to her place in front of the silverware drawer & look up at me expectedly; waiting for me to get the silverware caddy out. Placing it in front of her, she'd smile & eagerly begin handing me each shiny treasure & with every one I'd exclaim, "Thank you!" or perhaps call out its name. (fork, spoon, knife, etc.) Yes, I could have done the task in about 30 seconds vs. Shae's 5 minutes (lol), but it was time well spent.
Now, at 3 1/2, with the exception of the coffee cups which are too high, Shae can empty and put away the contents of the whole dishwasher.
This is only one example of the many things Shae shares in throughout our day together, but hopefully, it will be an encouragment to you.
Taking the time to train is soooo worth it.
