I've been married for 27 years, we have 6 home-schooled children. I like to sew, garden and collect things.

How to Make a Tag Toy

First, choose your fabric and your tags.

Then, cut out your fabric.  It doesn't have to be an even shape.

Now pin the tags onto the right side of one of the pieces of fabric....be sure to leave a space so you can easily turn it inside out.

With right sides together, pin the fabric leaving a space open for turning inside out.
I sew over the tags more than once for safety reasons.

After sewing and turning inside out, put a few pieces of scrap fabric inside....I always like to use scraps from the same fabric.  You can add a crinkly candy wrapper if you don't mind the noise!

Sew around the outside edges of the tag toy.  If you wish, you can sew across the tag toy just for decoration.

Finished product can be washed and hung up to dry. These are great gifts for showers, and easy to make.

You can order one from me,

 custom made, for $5 each.

I LOVE this idea, as does my 8 month old! I made one of these, using the tags I cut out of the clothes I was recycling for diapers - and my little guy loves it! Thank you for the idea!!!
