3 cups flour
 2 cups sugar
 1/2 cup cocoa
 2 teas. soda
 1 teas. salt
 2 teas. vinegar
 2 teas. vanilla
 2/3 cup oil
 2 cups cold water
 
Sift flour, sugar, cocoa, soda, and salt into bowl. Add vinegar, vanilla, and oil. Pour cold water over all. Mix until well blended.
 Pour into 13" x 9" ungreased cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes, or until toothpick inserted into center comes out clean.
 
Icing
 6 Tblsp. butter
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1 cup coconut
 
Mix together over medium heat until sugar and butter are thickened (about 5 minutes), continually stirring. Spread over cake while cake and icing are still hot.
