I am married to a visionary. We have not been blessed with children yet but that is the desire of my heart. I have one grown step-son who lives in another state. I am a Christian and was raised and home-schooled in a Christian family with 7 siblings. I am interested in healthy living and love to learn and share.
Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

(i got this off of www.allrecipes.com one of my favorite recipe sites)
submitted by: dawn carter

prep time:5 minutes
cook time: 5 minutes (see? told you it was fast!)
ready in: 10 minutes
servings: 4

ingredients:
1/2 cup butter
1 (8oz) package cream cheese
2 tsps garlic powder
2 cups milk
6 ounces grated parmesan cheese
1/8 tsp ground black pepper

directions:
melt butter in a medium, non-stick saucepan over medium heat.
add cream cheese and garlic powder, stirring with wire whisk until smooth.
add milk, a little at a time, whisking to smooth out lumps.
stir in parmesan and pepper.
remove from heat when sauce reaches desired consistency. sauce will thicken rapidly, thin with milk if cooked to long.
toss with hot pasta to serve.

this so fast and yummy! i like to serve with grilled chicken, steamed broccolli, and fresh tomatoes.
i can't tell you how much i love this recipe! when i told my neice, Elaina, that i was going to post more recipes, she immediately said,"ooh, you need to do the alfredo sauce one!"
