I am a stay-at-home wife, and mom of three beautiful children. I'm currently filling other roles including Worship Leader, Home Group Leader, PTO President at my kids local public school, Pet owner (one cheeky dog named Clever), daughter, sister, and in-law. I'm most of all a trophy of God's grace, getting so much more than I deserve.

Sample Chore List

 

Daily

Make beds, wash dishes/empty or load dishwasher, sort mail/papers, clean up kitchen, tidy/wipe bathroom, pick up rooms, make meal preparations

 

Weekly

Monday – Laundry (Washed, folded AND put away), reading or prep work for week

Tuesday – Groceries, Ironing, 15 minute room tidies for Home Group

Wednesday – Dust, Glass, Cobwebs, meeting or plan time with a friend

Thursday – Vacuum and wash floors

Friday – Change bed linens, Laundry #2, Weekend preparations, 15 minute room tidies

Saturday – Monthly project for the week, Catch up on what was missed

Sunday – Church, rest, plan groceries and shopping for week, have someone over

 

Monthly

Week 1 – Clean Refrigerator (outside, inside, and on top), deep clean bathroom

Week 2 – Clean bedroom windows, sort junk drawer

Week 3 – Mend clothing, sort kids drawers for clothes that are too small

Week 4 – Dust and wash baseboards

 

Quarterly

Clean dresser drawers, clean out closets, vacuum under furniture, clean & reorganize kitchen cabinets, change furnace filter

 

Semi-Annually

Hose off screens, change batteries in smoke detectors, wash walls and woodwork, deep clean basement

 

Annually

Take down and wash curtains, have furniture and carpets cleaned, paint chips on walls and trim

Wow Lori!! I totally admire you even more after reading this! I have already printed this article and will try to abide by it detail by detail (and try to do as much as I can while living with my in-laws!) This was great. It makes me feel good about my decision to be a stay-at-home wife & soon to be momma. I just hope the DH can get fully on board. :D

Wow, Lori, you are organized! I tried to do a lot of that in an organized manner when all my kids were still home, but I think you do even better by having it all written down. Having a checklist keeps you organized and gives incentive to stay up with things. Good job!
