So, What is MamaKnowsBest.net? MamaKnowsBest was designed to be a super-resource for mothers of all walks of life. We all know what a challenging job motherhood is, and how many times we have all wished we knew more about …. (fill in the blank). Now think about how many times you have talked to other moms and gleaned amazing tidbits of wisdom from them. Maybe you have a "go to person" that you call when you need help with something? Or maybe you have been at a ladies gathering, when all the moms are talking about "mommy stuff", and you have come away with helpful information or encouragement from them. Wouldn't it just be wonderful if all of those nuggets of wisdom could be pooled into one amazing jackpot? That is the idea behind MamaKnowsBest! Mothers posting for the benefit of other mothers, and mothers searching for information posted here to help them in their daily lives when myriad concerns arise. Who doesn't want to become a better mother? Who doesn't have something they'd like to learn? At the same time, who doesn't have something they could share to help other mothers out? So, come and join the fun today! Anyone can post! You do not have to be a mother either! There are many other people out there who can help us out as mothers – such as educators, nutritionists, nurses, doctors or midwives, "hopeful" mothers, the children of wonderful mothers who have shared their wisdom, etc. After you post, your contribution will be reviewed by an administrator before it appears on the site. (We do not mind information from many perspectives, but your post may not be published if it contains vulgar or inappropriate information.) How Can I Post? To start posting, you must simply register for a free account by clicking on "register for a new free account", on the top red bar. Registering will require only your name (can be a screen name), a password, an email address, and your location (does not have to be specific). In addition, please include a short biography paragraph and an optional profile picture (strongly encouraged!). Once you have registered and signed in, simply click on "Post and Share", also on the top red bar, to begin posting. Once you have been taken to the posting page, you must include a title and description of your post, as well as selecting an appropriate category for it to be included in. Then type what you wish and click on "Submit-You Rock Mama!" at the bottom of the page! That's it! What If I Can't Think of Anything to Post? Even if you are a wise and experienced woman, you may not readily be able to think of anything to post, right? First of all, please don't feel that your post has to be earth-shattering to be post worthy! Sometimes the simplest things are the most helpful. If you have a blog or website, you can also post here something that has already been posted on your blog or website, and we welcome you to link back to your site and get more traffic there too. With that said, here are a few ideas to get your creative juices flowing about things you could post about: -Favorite Household Organizational or Cleaning Tips -Simple recipes for Busy Mamas -How you have handled challenges in areas of pregnancy, breastfeeding or the birth process -Your journey (and what you have learned in the process) of infertility or depression -Stories of adoption or foster care -Fun activities you have done with your children or as a family -Health Tips -Using herbs or natural remedies (please include personal testimonials!) -Birth Stories …. And the list goes on! However, if the nature of the question is not personal, we welcome you to post your question in the comments section, so the answer can benefit other readers as well. -Please subscribe to our occasional newsletter, whether you are registered at the site or not. Newsletters will only be occasional, so don't worry about getting bombarded by junk mail every day or anything like that. And we will never share your email address with anyone else. |
